Pagadian City launches Integrated Feeding Program By Gideon C. Corgue PAGADIAN CITY, February 24---The local government unit (LGU) of Pagadian City through the City Nutrition Council (CNC) officially launched the Integrated Feeding Program (IFP) for children at the Executive Function Hall recently. In the weekly radio program dubbed "Mayors' Report", Mayor Samuel Co announced that the IFP will provide benefits to the undernourished children in the 54 barangays of the city. Co thanked the generous donor, the Social Paraclete Association, Inc. in donating 2,000 boxes of Mannapack Fortified Rice containing a total of 28,000 kilos. It can be recalled that on February 21, the launch of the IPF was held and the signing of the memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the Social Paraclete Association Incorporated and the City Government of Pagadian for the implementation of the program. ZamboSur gov't to plant cacao, coffee in 10,000 hectares of land

Corgue PAGADIAN CITY, February 17--- The provincial government of Zamboanga del Sur is targeting to plant cocoa and coffee of 10,000 hectares of land to earn an income of P100,000 per hectare per year and also generate an income of P1-B for the province. Governor Victor Yu in his message during the 4th Cacao Festival held at the provincial covered court, said that when he was the congressman of the first District, it was his vision that the province would become rich in the year 2025 by planting and cultivating cacao and coffee seedlings. The governor reported that currently there are only more than 1,500 hectares of cacao and one (1) thousand hectares of coffee planted by farmers in the province. Yu observed that it is not easy for the farmers to plant cacao and coffee seedlings because of the challenges faced by the farmers, so they have not been able to plant cacao and coffee within 10,000 hectares of the farm. Private hospitals ink MOA with provincial gov’t to ensure provision of medical assistance

Corgue PAGADIAN CITY, February 9—More and more private hospitals have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government to ensure that patients admitted to private hospitals can avail medical assistance. Joefe P. Suson, the provincial administrator said that aside from the zero billing policy that has been implemented for a long time at the Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center (ZDSMC), the provincial government has expanded the provision of medical assistance in the province through the signing of the MOA with private hospitals. Suson added that Aisah Medical Center is the first private hospital in the province that agreed to implement the program of Governor Victor Yu.
