City gov’t allocates P20-million to help MSMEs promote their products

Corgue PAGADIAN CITY, August 24- The local government unit (LGU) of Pagadian has allocated P20-million pesos that can be used to purchase machinery to help the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Thus disclosed Mayor Samuel Co during the opening of the Trade Fair and Exhibit sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as one of the highlights of the 32nd Mindanao Business Conference (MinBizCon). Co said the P20-million allocated by the city government will help MSMEs in the city to improve their products, especially in labeling their products properly and to develop good packaging to attract more buyers. The local chief executive said that the good and presentable label and packaging will help MSMEs to market their products more easily. PAPSAC conduct mangrove planting, coastal clean up in Pagadian

Corgue PAGADIAN CITY, August 14- In order to reduce coastal erosion and protect communities against flooding, strong winds and waves, and tsunami, the Pagadian Airport Station Advisory Council (PAPSAC) in partnership with the barangay council of Muricay conducted a mangrove planting and coastal clean up recently. P/Captain Edward Magracia, the station chief said that PAPSAC is conducting mangrove planting as its project to protect the homes on the coast when there is a disaster such as a tsunami and strong waves that occur. "The mangroves are the favorite habitat of our fish and crabs, so we will plant 300 saplings so they have a place to stay," said Magracia. Corgue PAGADIAN CITY, Aug. 13- Governor Victor Yu commended the joint attendance of various Bangsamoro members that led to the success of the 1st Bangsamoro Summit in Zamboanga del Sur held recently at Pavillon Hall, barangay Dao here. Yu said that the 1st Bangsamoro Summit is the avenue for the gathering of its members so that the provincial government can listen to the issues and concerns as well as opportunities in the Bangsamoro that can bring peace and development to the community. Yu also urged the officials of the Bangsamoro Provincial Consultative Council (BPCC) that the Bangsamoro group can avail of the programs of the national government such as scholarship, livelihood and others, since there are several programs that they can avail of. ELCAC projects must have a lasting impact on the poor people, ZamboSur gov says

Corgue PAGADIAN CITY, August 2- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict’s (PTF-ELCAC) Orientation on the Enhanced 2023 RCSP Guidelines which was attended by six (6) municipal mayors and 21 barangay captains held recently at Subanen Hall, barangay Dao here. Governor Victor Yu, chairperson of PTF-ELCAC urged the municipal mayors and barangay captains that if they give ELCAC projects in their barangays it must have a lasting impact on the lives of the poor people. "If (you) municipal mayors and barangay captains provide ELCAC projects, it must have a lasting impact on the barangay.
