DTI inks MOA with CONZARRD, Inc., upgrades wine processing, bottling and labelling

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur, Nov, 24—  The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) signed an MOA with Convergence of NGOS, POs in Zamboanga del Sur on Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (CONZARRD, Inc. ) to  upgrade  Wine Processing, Bottling, and Labeling on Friday, November 21 at the Agri-Processing Industry in barangay Locuban.




The first party, DTI represented by Provincial Director Marlon Alabata and second party, CONZARRD Inc., represented by Joseph L. Butac, Sr., the president, formalized the partnership to manage and use Shared Service Facility (SSF) equipment for the benefit of the CONZARRD, Inc.


Alabata said, “With the SSF, it is able to provide modern fermentation, labeling and packaging technologies that will help ensure product safety, improved efficiency and bring local wine products up in Manila or abroad.”

He further emphasized that the MOA is an essential step toward improving   the taste of wine by using the facility.

Alabata said the DTI provided P1.75M worth of Shared Service Facility, while CONZARDD established the P2-M worth of Agri-Processing Industry, as their counterpart.

Vice Mayor Lorenzo Alcantara wished that the wine processing plant that was built in barangay Locuban could boost the wine industry in Dumalinao.

"The local government unit will support this and I hope it will generate employment in the municipality", Alcantara added.
