Pagadian Mayor Sammuel Co files COC for reelection bid

PAGADIAN CITY, OCTOBER 14 – Pagadian City Mayor Samuel Co on Tuesday, October 8 filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) at the City Comelec office to formalize his bid for his third and final term as local chief. executive.

Atty. Baldomero Fernandez, the city's incumbent vice mayor also seeking reelection will run alongside Co in the 2025 polls.

In his weekly radio program "Mayor's Report,  Co announced that he is happy that he formed their group which he called Asenso Team. Co also announced that the  line-up of his city councilors  included the following: incumbent city councilors Jigger Ariosa, Dodong Duterte, Dra. DicKy Fernandez, former vice mayor Ernesto Mondare, former city councilors Django Durano, Glavys Gavenia, and Nonoy Pameron, and newphyte candidates Lance Co and Che Tampus.

CO said that the mayoral derby in the city is interesting because it is a two-way fight between him and the sitting governor, Victor Yu.

When the local media asked if Governor Yu is the threat to his candidacy? Co said that he considers all his opponents as a threat but he is not afraid of Yu, instead, he is excited to fight against the governor.

Co is hopeful that good fortune will favor him because of the many successes achieved by his administration.

"During my tenure as mayor, several businesses were established, the economy of the city is doing well, many infrastructure projects have been built and peace and order is relatively stable, Co concluded. (JCC/The Pagadian Times)
