Zamboanga del Sur holds official sashing ceremony of candidates of Search for Miss Zamboanga del Sur 2024

 PAGADIAN CITY , July 17 --Twenty seven (27) beautiful young and talented candidates officially received their sashes from Governor Vitor Yu, and 1st District representative Divina Grace Yu inthe Sashing Ceremony on July 16 2024 at Pavillon Hall, Provinvial Government Complex, barangay Dao, Pagadian City adjudged During the event, t he candidates showcased a ‘pasarela’ walk while wearing their tropical attire that was beautifully designed by local designers in the province." In their signature stride they accompanied it with their poise and grace that entertained the spectators.



Tthe lovely candidates also answered impromptu questions from local media practitioners to select 3 lucky winners for the Darling of the Press category.

 

Miss Aurora was adjudged as third placer; MissTambulig was the second placer, while Miss Molave ​​was unanimously  chosen by the media practitioners as Darling of the Press.


 

Meanwhile, Miss Labangan was adjudged the Best in Tropical Attire.


 

The special awards were presented by the municipal mayors together with their spouses and municipal tourism officers.

 

Governor Yu said that the sashing ceremony is the beginning of the candidates' journey towards Miss Zamboanga del Sur. We thank our municipal mayors and sponsors for their active support saying that Zamboanga del Sur is one of the highlights of the celebration of the 53rd Founding anniversary of Zamboanga del Sur on September 17.

Yu said The Search for Zamboanga del Sur is also part of the  preparation that the winners will present our province in the national pageant.

“I believe that after two years of practice, they will slowly gain confidence and develop themselves to bring honor to our province in the national pageant.” Yu explained.

The grand coronation will be held on September 17 at Pavillon Hall, Provincial Government Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City.
