ZSNHS Alumni Association distribute Christmas gifts to children with special needs in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY - Around 60 children with special needs in the province received Christmas gifts, stuffed toys, and free food from the Zamboanga del Sur National High School Alumni Association (ZSNHSAA) in the gift-giving activity held recently at Subanen Hall, Provincial Government Center, barangay Dao here.


1st district representative Divina Grace Yu, the president of ZSNHSAA who led the distribution of gifts, admired the parents of children with special needs whom she called  heroes for their unconditional sacrifice in their children who have problems with their physical condition.

Congresswoman Yu said that she saw the difficulty of parents to teach children especially children with special needs.

The lawmaker added that this year,  the ZSNHS alumni association has given great attention to the children with special needs because their situation is miserable.


The officers of the ZSNHS alumni association also entertained the children with dance and song, which they enjoyed a lot.

In a similar initiative, Miriam Llanos, the provincial head of the Person with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) is very happy with the project made by the congresswoman where she stands as a leader in the sector of the disabled.

"I am very happy that the children with disability are the first group that was seen by the organization and became the target beneficiary of their project," Llanos said.


She is forever grateful to congressman Yu for consistently giving attention and care to the children with disability.

"I hope that the gift-giving activity of ZSNHAA will be held every year so that children with disability can experience genuine inclusion and they can feel that they belong in our society,” Llanos concluded. (jcc/Pagadian Times)
