Pagadian, Labangan and Tambulig’s barangay, SK leaders take their oath of office

PAGADIAN CITY, November 9 – The newly elected barangay
& Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elected officials of Pagadian City, and the municipalities
of Tambulig and Labangan took their oath of office before Governor Victor Yu in
a mass oath-taking ceremony held Monday, November 6 at Mega Gym, barangay Dao
here.
Yu urged the elected officials to fulfill their responsibility by serving their constituents wholeheartedly.
"The people of the barangay have a lot of
expectations from all of you (the newly elected barangay officials) to help
them improve their livelihood and your barangays," Yu said.
He added that the people have given them the opportunity to serve as government officials and they expect many programs, projects and services that they can do in their respective barangays.
"Your accomplishments for more than two years will
serve as your legacy in your community or barangay," Yu said.
The good governor further explained that when they serve
as barangay officials, it is possible that they will experience challenges and
they will also deal with several problems in their respective barangays.
"Not all people can enjoy your services in the barangay but if the majority of the people have benefited from it, I am sure that you have delivered a good service to the people," Yu assured.
He also said that the provincial officials never
hesitated to give projects to the barangay because their commitment is to
implement the principle of good governance in the province through the program
'H.E.A.R.T.S."
Governo Yu and 1st district representative Divina Grace
shook hands and congratulated the elected officials who were all dressed in
Barong Tagalog.
The event was witnessed by Vice Governor Roseller Ariosa,
Board Members Francisvic Villamero, Bienevenido Ebarle, and Aiko Yu To, city
councilor Ariel Lim, and Pagadian City-Liga of Barangays president Jojo
Pulmones and DILG provincial director Mohammad Taha Arakama,. (jcc /The
