PAGADIAN CITY, March 20—The local government unit of the province has allocated P80-M funds for the college scholarship program this year 2023.

Governor Victor Yu in his message to groups of women in Pagadian City during the women's forum held recently in the covered court of provincial capitol said that the provincial government allocated funds for the college scholarship program to help ensure that education is accessible to all especially the poor and deserving students.

Yu added that the said funds come from the congressional funds of the two (2) representatives and the provincial government and this includes P30 million from 1st district representative Divina Grace, P30 million from 2nd district representative Jezel Victoria, and P20 million from the provincial government.

The good governor happily announced that the funds will soon be downloaded by the two congressmen to the treasury of the provincial government so that it can be used to implement the scholarship program.

Meanwhile, Yu considered the important role of women as active partners of the government.

"Women are active partners in the provincial government's implementation of development projects in the province.

Yu urged the women that whatever projects and programs that the provincial government implements, they will actively support it since the only goal of his administration is the well-being of the people of Zamboanga del Sur. (jcc/KBP-Zamboanga del Sur)
