PRO-9 passes PGS institutionalization stage

ZAMBOANGA CITY, March 11--The Police Regional Office -9 (PRO9) successfully passed the Institutionalization Evaluation Process and Performance Governance Reporting held at Camp Col. Romeo Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City recently.
LtGen. Michael John Dubria, the chief directorial staff of the Philippine National Police and chairman of the Technical Working Group for PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 chaired the 8-member panel.
Brigadier General Neil Alinsangan, the regional director
of PRO-IX presented the accomplishment report of the unit which includes the
accomplishment of the provincial police stations that highlighted their
breakthrough results.
The breakthrough result of the audit includes the
reduction of crimes, continued improvement in index crimes solution and crime
clearance efficiency, improvement in satisfaction index, and continued increase
in safety and security index in police stations.
The panel asked the chairpersons of the Regional and Provincial Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (PAGPTD) on the significant contributions of the police in reducing crime and their best practices and innovations that promote healthy cooperation between the police and the community in the region.
After more than two hours of deliberation, Dubria
officially declared that PRO-9 passed the revalidation of the
institutionalization stage of the performance governance system (PGS). He also
warmly congratulated PRO-9 for fully institutionalizing the implementation of
the long-term transformation strategy of the police.
Meanwhile, Alinsangan is very proud and happy that PRO-9
has passed the revalidation of the institutionalization stage.
"Personally, I am very proud and grateful to our
Regional and Provincial Advisory Group for Transformation and Development
because of their significant contributions so we have achieved our goal of
passing the Institutionalization Evaluation Process. In fact, PRO-9 is already
certified. PGS, Alinsangan proudly said.
The 'institutionalization', is the fourth and final stage of the PGS Pathway, which satisfies the mandatory requirements of establishing an effective mechanism for tracking and reporting performance, conducting impact evaluation and assessing breakthrough results. (jcc/KBP-Zamboanga del Sur)
