2023 National Fire Olympics demonstrates spirit of camaraderie, unity among firefighters

CEBU CITY, March 16--- Senator Ronald 'Bato" Dela Rosa conveyed his warmest congratulations to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), region 7 for hosting the 2023 National Fire Olympics held at SM Seaside here.

Dela Rosa, the guest of honor and speaker said that he congratulated the BFP-7 for hosting the national event because the national fire olympics is important and has helped a lot to the fire fighters and fire volunteers.


Dela Rosa said that the annual BFP event not only enhanced the firefighting skills of the firefighters but also developed their spirit of camaraderie, friendship and unity.

"The national fire Olympics is not only on the competitive side but it also develops the spirit of camaraderie, friendship and unity among firemen. You traveled here in Cebu City because you wanted to be with your fellow firefighters from different regions of the country. Your culture is different but you are united as firefighters," the senator added.

Meanwhile, Dela Rosa also echoed the statement of Director Louie Puracan, the BFP chief that their fire code revenues increased. He said the increase in fire code revenues is expected because if the economy in the Philippines increases, their revenue will also increase.

The good senator said that he will try that in their budget deliberation in the Senate, the income collected by the BFP generated from the collection of fire code taxes, fees, charges and fines will return to them and they will not be limited in their spending up to P1-billion only.

Dela Rosa's reaction received approval and loud applause from the participants.
