BJMP-IX recruits aspiring applicants for jail officer 1

PAGADIAN CITY, January 10 (KBP)— The Bureau of Jail Management and
Penology (BJMP-IX) is recruiting applicants to become jail officer 1 for the
2023 quota.
In the "Straight to
the Point" program over DXPR radio station, J/Senior Inspector Nivea
Langkit, the chief of the Personnel and Records Management Division (PRMD)
announced that the BJMP-IX was given by the national headquarters the regular
quota of 70 and an additional 80 for the attrition quota.
Langkit said that the eligible applicants are required to comply with the following requirements: Must be a Filipino Citizen; must be of good moral character; must have passed the nuero-psychiatric evaluation medical examination and drug test for the purpose of determining his/her physical and mental health; must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning; must possess the second level eligibility; must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment; must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude and; must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.
Asked if it is difficult for
applicants to become a jail officer, Langkita said that it is not difficult for
applicants to become a jail officer as long as they hold the qualifications
required by their agency.
She also announced that to all aspiring jail officers 1 and the general public that the BJMP strictly implements their policy of not accepting any kind of payment or donation in exchange for employment.
For applicants who want to submit their documents, they can visit their BJMP-9 office located in barangay Lenienza, Pagadian City and they can also view their facebook page "BJMP region 9" so that they can easily access the information.
On January 6, there were 375
applicants who submitted their documents. However, in order to give more
opportunities to those in distant areas, the BJMP participated in the job fair
sponsored by the Pagadian City government on January 9 and 10, where they
accommodated the applicants.
For non-criminologists, the deadline for the submission of pertinent documents is January 31 and for criminologists, they are encouraged to wait for further announcements. (GCC/KBP-Zamboanga del Sur)
