DAR Secretary reaffirms commitment to supporting farmers in Zamboanga Peninsula
By: Gideon C. Corgue PAGADIAN CITY Nov, 1—DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III assured that the government will continue to support farmers in the Zamboanga Peninsula. Thus, disclosed during his visit in the city on October 29. Estrella encouraged farmers not to lose hope because their agency is there to respond and assist the needs of farmers. Estrella stressed that the support is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to empower farmers and ensure food security in the nation. “Don’t give up because our president is ready to help and all our government officials will also help the farmers.” Estrella said. Estrella distributed land titles, farm implements, and certificates of condonation with release of mortgage (CoCRoM) to thousands of ARBs in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
